This Privacy Policy explains how CMD Shift Studio UG (haftungsbeschränkt) ("we", "us", or "our") collects and uses information when you use the Overlay Studio VS Code extension (the "Extension").

What we collect

The Extension collects anonymous usage data to help us understand how the product is used and fix issues faster. This includes:

• which features are used and how often;
• basic technical details (extension version, VS Code version, operating system);
• anonymized AI traces containing high-level information about the action performed by the agent (not the original message).
• crash and error reports.

We do not collect:

• the content of your files;
• your source code;
• your detailed chats with AI agents.

If you sign up for our newsletter from within the Extension, we store your email address. This is entirely optional and only happens if you explicitly provide it.

Why we collect it

We use this data to fix bugs, improve stability, and understand which parts of the product are most useful.

How it's handled

We use PostHog to process analytics data on our behalf. All data is handled securely and used only for the purposes above.

Data is kept only as long as needed and then deleted or anonymized.

Changes

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above.
